Same Old Same Old

I've griped before on this blog about recurring pains and hinderances that come and go with my motorcycle accident injuries. It has all become a part of my "regular" life over the past years. I've been very much active physically these past several months and the things that I do are not hindered in such a big way by the things that my body has been making me feel. However, I do clearly notice that the pains and the soreness are becoming more consistent and pronounced with time. As much as I despise the thought of going to see a surgeon about it, there's a persistently nagging feeling in the back of my mind that tells me that a visit to a surgeon within the future is possible. My knee is getting worse and I'm not quite sure as to when it'll be bad enough to finally see someone concerning the need for a full replacement. There are negatives and positives in doing so, you know? It's sometimes difficult enough to deal with life's regular and recurring...

The Hard Truth

If you read from my first blog entry forward, you can see a progression that vacillates from better to worse to better, etc.  My problem these days with the aftereffects of the motorcycle injuries lies with the fact that things don’t seem to be getting better anymore. My hip, thigh, knee, and shin are in a perpetual state of despair. The pain and discomfort are never anything that I would call severe by any measure, but things do vary between being an annoyance and actually being a hindrance. I guess that my point is this; putting up with so many injuries inflicted upon your body at one time can take you beyond any feeling of invincib...

Challenges

Image
This is my first blog entry in several months. I ran into an issue with BLOGGER when I transferred everything to this website from WordPress. After a short time they lost more than half of the images on my site. It distorted some of the text and made a bit of a mess with the greater percentage of my posts. No one at BLOGGER could explain what happened or how to undo the damage. I left it all alone for a few months    because it was really disheartening and I wasn't sure if I could fix it all, but when I finally got over the shock I logged in and put things back together one image and post at a time. It wasn't exactly quick work. I should have taken care of things immediately, but I focused on the challenge more than I did on the solution. I’ve learned over time that I have to avoid that type of thinking with my health. Things continue to happen with my body in relation to the accident injuries that make me want to ignore it all, but it’s always best to deal with things immedia...
